Frequently Asked Questions
What do we sit on?
Most people tend to bring folding chairs or blankets but you’re more than welcome to bring whatever is comfortable.
There’s a blanket-zone at the front of the seating area to make sure all blanket-bearers get a good view!
Please bear in mind if it has rained before the event then the ground may still be damp.
Make sure you dress up warm and bring anything which may make your evening more comfortable. How about bringing a blanket, thick socks to stop your tootsies from getting cold and maybe a torch for the walk home?
Can I use my own headphones?
No, we have specialist headphones that work via radio transmission. Please note that we require a £10 CASH DEPOSIT
When you arrive on site, set up your spot in front of the screen, then pop over to the marquee where you can scan your tickets, pick up a drink, some popcorn and exchange your £10 CASH deposit for a set of wireless headphones.
What food and drink will be available?
We will have a wonderful caterer on site at each event! Catering options for the event you are attending will be included on the respective location and Facebook page closer to the time of the event.
At the marquee, we will be selling popcorn, crisps and sweets to snack on during the movie, as well as having a well-stocked bar of soft drinks, beer, cider, wine, and of course the feel-good summer staple PROSECCO!
Can I buy tickets on the night?
Yes, as long as the event is not sold out! Tickets will be available online until the movie starts, or you can buy tickets on the door when you arrive. However, we would reccommend buying online, so as not to risk being turned away on the night!
Please note that OTD tickets are cash only and cost £15 for adults and £8 for children.
What happens if it rains?
The show must go on! If rain is in the forecast, we encourage attendees to bring tents/gazebos. Please ensure these are properly pinned down!
Stewards will be on hand to make sure that everyone is comfortable and gets a good view of the screen.
In the unlikely event that the weather becomes unsafe, we will postpone the event. In this case we will contact the attendees with the option to either transfer their ticket to the new date or recieve a refund.
What about the noise?
Our events have everyone in mind. The headphones mean that the local neighbours and wildlife aren’t disturbed.
That being said, remember that when you want to chat with your friends sitting around you, you are wearing headphones! Although you may not be able to hear your own voice the rest of the area will!
Events like these are able to continue as long as the local neighbours are happy. When leaving please keep the noise to a respectable level!
Will there be disablility access?
Most of our events are held in public parks, so access is open to all. Occasionally, we hold an event in a school or leisure center. In that case, please contact the venue directly to find out more about their access.
If you use any personal medical devices (including but not limited to a pacemaker), please consult your doctor to determine whether the use of the headphones/transmitters could possibly effect your medical device.
Can I bring my kids?
That depends on the film we are showing! Parents should check the film content prior to the purchase of any tickets.
Age restrictions and recommendations for children may apply due to the nature and suitability of the film. If you would like more information please visit http://www.bbfc.co.uk
Given that the film is appropriate, children’s tickets are available for children up to the age of 12 and under 4’s do not require a ticket.
